How to start a rescue CD with Windows XP Antivirus?
when I start using Vista gives me the opportunity to press F8 (I think its F8) to boot the CD before Windows is loaded but I'm not sure how to work with XP.
It's different on different computers. My Dell systems to push me F12 during POST (before first "Windows" logo) and press F12 if I get a menu of "home" that lets me choose what to boot from the device. F8 is normally used when Windows starts to give you the opportunity to go into safe mode or recovery mode, enable boot record or boot in diagnostic mode. I never use Vista so I'm not aware that this will have the option of booting from the CD at this point because it is already completed with the original bootloader. However, Windows and earlier versions 2003/WinXp the F8 option no option to boot from the CD.
