spyware on mac computers

Helping Queston anyone with Macintosh?
I swap on a Mac, but I have some questions: Do I have to buy security software? I know that Macs are safe, but I've heard of email viruses Mac, and I know they are safe hackers and spyware, etc. So, I'm not sure if I have to buy security software. Will it work with Windows within my work place? Like all my work equipment runs on Windows, I'm not sure if the two operating systems are supported. For example, I will be able to save a file created on Windows on a flash pen disk storage and access, edit and record on my Mac? Can a PC and a Mac running on the same Internet connection? I currently have my PC running broadband cable Internet connection. My Mac is going to another floor, both will be able to use wireless connections to the use of the Internet itself? UPDATE: Since no one bothered to answer I have found my answer elsewhere. But if someone have some help, I'll still gladly take it into account.

I have used Macs since the 90s and never had a virus. A Mac with an Intel chip that would be because more and more applications are universal (capable of running both Mac and PC) In addition, the Microsoft Office for Mac is excellent and Of course, Microsoft will read your stuff from your PC. I'm not sure the pen drive, maybe check the file extension and see if it is compatible. What the Internet should not be a problem.
